I am Mariam Hackman, and I've gone beyond the classroom in my quest for development on a personal and social level. As a resident of my campus, I took an active position in organizing and conducting events that involved the residents through the Residence Hall Association (RHA). These gatherings gave students a forum to express their varied viewpoints and experiences while also fostering a feeling of community. In addition, I am dedicated to growing into a change agent, and this involves my participation in the Student Political Society. I take an active part in conversations and events that support civic engagement and social change. I continue to be a member of the Muslim Student Association at the same time, which helps me to interact with peers who are similar to me in terms of culture and religion and makes it possible for me to constructively contribute to the varied community on campus. My college journey has been formed by these events, as well as my commitment to education, my individuality of thought, and my proactive attitude to conquering obstacles. They support my views that achieving success is a journey rather than a goal and that each "no" is a chance to find new routes to success. My journey hasn't been easy, but with everyone from EOP at my side, it's always a vibe.
